Process

The first step in our process is meeting with you in person so we can identify the best options for your individual requirements.  In this session, you’ll have a discussion with our Anaplastologist to determine your desired functional and aesthetic design elements and the best options for achieving them.

As each piece is made custom for you, the creation processes may vary depending on the prosthesis type and the level of detail.

In our next session we take impressions and do a color match. We then create a trial socket or prosthesis to ensure a secure fit and give an indication of form and function.

We work with you to ensure a comfortable fit and accurate colour, and once approved, we proceed with making the final prosthesis.

For a High Definition prosthesis, the color is further customised in person for added realism. It also includes the addition of a clear protective layer for increased detail and durability.

Levels of Detail

Fingers

Our silicone finger prosthetics are retained through suction and the custom fit of the silicone socket. If your anatomy isn’t suited to a suction retained prosthetic, we can secure using a band to an adjacent finger or use a glove style retention around the hand.

These prosthetics are static and help to restore function by allowing improved oppositional grip and restoring length.

There are three different levels of detail and the option to add acrylic nails for the use of nail polish.

Hands and Arms

Our silicone arms and hands are lightweight and comfortable. They are designed to fit around your existing anatomy.

These prosthetics are static, with posable fingers and a lightweight core to reduce weight and provide structure.

We offer partial and full hands, and arms, both above and below the elbow. We can also create a glove that goes over an existing traditional arm or hand prosthetic to cover it in a realistic skin.

There are three different levels of detail and the option to add acrylic nails for the use of nail polish. You can also choose to add tattoos or hair to further customise your arm or hand.

Toes and Feet

Our silicone toe prosthetics are retained through suction and the custom fit of the silicone socket. If your anatomy isn’t suited to a suction retained prosthetic, we can secure using a band to an adjacent toe or overlap part of the foot.

These prosthetics are static and help to restore function by improving gait and help maintain the position of existing toes.

Our silicone partial foot sits around your existing anatomy, and is passively retained. We work with your prosthetist or orthotist to ensure correct alignment and can include things like heel lifts for height variations.

A shoe or sandal is recommended to provide support and to protect the prosthetics from damage.

There are three different levels of detail and the option to add acrylic nails for the use of nail polish. You can also choose to add tattoos or hair to further customise your foot.

Leg Covers

Our custom silicone leg covers are designed to fit over your existing traditional leg prosthetic to cover it in a realistic skin. It helps protect the existing prosthetic and can be removed if needed.

There are three different levels of detail and the option to add acrylic nails for the use of nail polish. You can also choose to add tattoos or hair to further customise your leg cover.
